The story began in the 1970s – with a drawing on a napkin. Prof. Bauerfeind, Prof. Krause, and Prof. Hess – Team Physician for the German National Football Team – developed the first GenuTrain. An orthopedic support that helps with movement rather than restricting it. This idea has helped millions of people to date – and shaped modern knee treatment.

Today, Bauerfeind approaches treatment holistically: with supports, braces, insoles, medical compression stockings, and treatment concepts that promote activity.
