Provides relief in cases of medial osteoarthritis of the knee

The supporting TRIactive OA foot orthosis

From Bauerfeind Life Magazin on 24.02.2021

Based on a reinforced outer edge, the TRIactive OA foot orthosis supports the foot laterally, thus correcting the foot axis in cases of misalignments and providing the medial part of the joint with relief in cases of osteoarthritis of the knee. Wearing the foot orthoses helps to alleviate pain, therefore supporting the mobility of patients. The bottom layer of the new foot orthosis combines two cushioning materials: the harder, white component is positioned on the outside of the foot as a lateral support or pronation wedge. The slightly softer, blue component supports the rest of the foot, thus cushioning shock loads. The puzzle-like connection with patented PowerWave technology is known from the TRIactive series. It guarantees a functional, yet slim design of the foot orthoses. The integrated synthetic core additionally stabilizes the foot up to the lateral edge and features a cut-out for the basis of the fifth metatarsal bone to minimize pressure. The soft cushion layer above creates a bed for the whole foot and reduces pressure loads during walking. For an enhanced effect, the TRIactive OA foot orthosis can be combined with the GenuTrain OA knee orthosis.
