LumboLoc Forte in cases of changed spinal posture

Lordosis reduction and lordosis enhancement using a height-adjustable functional strap

From Bauerfeind Life on 06.09.2024

Back pain between the lumbosacral and the thoracolumbar transition can be treated with the LumboLoc Forte. The straightening lumbar orthosis has many uses, thus supporting a quick start to multi-modal pain therapy. Its height-adjustable functional strap can relieve the lumbar spine in different ways by applying targeted force.

In cases of osteoarthritis of the facet joint, patients require lordosis reduction so they can be mobilized without causing pain. The strap is attached to the upper edge of the orthosis, at the level of the transition to the thoracic spine, to lift the abdomen and correct posture. In cases of a flat back or moderate degeneration, the functional strap can be attached to the orthosis in a lower position to support natural lordosis and to relieve the anterior column. If the lower lumbar vertebrae require relief, the functional strap is removed, rotated, and attached to the bottom end of the orthosis. In the area of the lumbosacral transition, it has a slight lordosis-reducing effect by gently lifting the abdomen and straightening the pelvis to stabilize it.

Back patients will find donning of the product easy and they can adjust the force individually via the tensioning straps.
