Four hip experts from Germany, Austria and the USA present their treatment experiences in a moderated round-table discussion. The 90-minute recording is available with simultaneous translation into English.

Physicians based in Germany have the option to complete the corresponding knowledge quiz for a fee of 29 euros and obtain 3 CME points. Physicians who are not situated in Germany can hand in their certificate to a local medical association or similar institution for the recognition of credits.
From joint preservation to joint replacement: Four hip experts discuss treatment for osteoarthritis of the hip
With a focus on pain therapy for joint preservation, Prof. Dr. med. Stefan Sell (Gelenkzentrum Schwarzwald joint center at RKH Hospital Neuenbürg) and Christian Teusch (SGH Hospital Merzig) will outline the area of non-surgical treatment options in the first part of the event. In their presentations, the osteoarthritis specialists will discuss medication, physiotherapy and options offered by technical orthopedics and joint injections. In the second part, member and former President of the International Society of Hip Preservation (ISHA) Dr. Allston Julius Stubbs IV, MD (Wake Forest Baptist Health, Winston-Salem) will highlight methods for joint-preserving surgery and discuss practical cases of arthroscopy and osteotomy. The founder and President of the Austrian Association for Hip Arthroscopy, Prim. Dr. Christoph Gebhart (Döbling Private Clinic, Vienna) will also discuss the method of arthroscopy and provide an introduction to joint-replacement surgery with fast track programs for hip prosthetics.
