A compression “kick” for rugby league stars
New South Wales Blues
From Bauerfeind Life Magazin
Bauerfeind’s Australian distributor Motion is Life Pty is proud to be working with the New South Wales Rugby League as the Official Compression, Braces and Supports Supplier. Launching in May 2019, this partnership saw them supply the New South Wales Blues representative side for the annual State of Origin series. One of the most significant sporting events in Australia, the series features the Blues, the best rugby league players who began their careers in New South Wales, competing against the Queensland Maroons. Players were measured using Bauerfeind’s Bodytronic 600 and fitted with Bauerfeind Sports Compression Sleeves for their arms, legs and thighs as well as Sports Compression Socks for in game performance and rapid pre and post-match recuperation. Importantly, the Series included a long-haul flight to Perth where Bauerfeind’s medical grade compression socks VenoTrain cocoon aided with player swelling and recovery during the flight. Accelerating recovery times is essential as the series is held alongside the National Rugby League season requiring players to play both club games as well as the Series. In certain cases, individual players were also measured and fitted with orthopedic aids such as the MalleoTrain Plus ankle support , the SacroLoc pelvic orthosis, or the GenuTrain P3 knee support to aid with existing ailments. The Blues went on to win the 2019 State of Origin series 2:1 in the final minute of the final Game.
